AMBASSADORS
The Kyrgyz ambassador to the US is Kadyr Toktogulov; he lives at 2360 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Washington, DC. The Kyrgyz have a consulate in New York.
The American ambassador to Kyrgyzstan is Kevin Sheila Gwaltney; she lives at 171 Prospect Mira, Bishkek. The Americans have no consulates presently.
Mirgul Moldoisaeva is the Kyrgyz representative to the UN.
PRIDE
The red of the Kyrgyz flag symbolizes bravery and the sun shows peace. The 40-rayed sun represents the 40 Kyrgyz tribes.
The national symbol of Kyrgyzstan is the gyrfalcon; their colors are red and yellow.
DISPUTES AND OTHER BAD STUFF
International Disputes - Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan still have not determined their border; Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan still have not determined their border, either; the border of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan is also unclear.
Stateless Persons - Kyrgyzstan has 9,118 stateless peeps, mostly born in Kyrgyzstan.
Drug Use - Kyrgyzstan has a bit of opium and cannabis production, but the Kyrgyz are a major consumer of opiates. They are a transit point for Asian narcotics going to Russia and Europe.
